'für dörchen richter' and '27 club', by Bailey Lohmann

für dörchen richter

a personal earthquake
not so easily uninvented by the world

parts uninvited
the guests but lucky witnesses to your rerendering

no other option but to descramble oneself
to pierce a kind of relational pioneering

were you there the night they torched the halls you sung your sisterness into?

per scientam ad justitiam

weave and be weaved
my girl
meine oma
thread and sower all at once
weave away

27 club

more than celebrities sentenced to 90’s magazine gloss

i wish it for them

children signed onto arms instead of birthday cards / instead of field trip forms / instead of love
notes

more than signatures or great british pounds

i dream of sending them

a return to a different october / months unfurling / into years / into an inevitable necklace of lives

the years taken so outnumbering

the days we can’t stand to imagine giving back
